We Believe That Previcox Caused the Death of Our Beloved Corgi Lilly
On 7/14/09
Our doctor in Alpharetta, GA prescribed Previcox for pain caused by dysplasia in Lilly's left hip.
On 7/16/09
Two days later I found Lilly lying in the yard almost lifeless. We took her back to the animal hospital where she seemed to get better. We brought her home the next day. She had seizures and then was unconscious. We rushed her to the Georgia Veterinary Specialists.
This is the premier veterinary hospital in Atlanta.
On 7/17/09
We were advised that Lilly had two massive seizures. That day, rather than see her suffer any longer, we advised Georgia Veterinary Services to put Lilly to sleep. She was only 5 years old.
Our beloved pet is now in heaven. We will always keep her in our hearts. Her sister Rosie combs the backyard daily looking for Lilly. This is such a difficult time for all of us. Our hearts are broken.
****Important update - Sanofi-Aventis has purchased Merck's Animal Health Care Joint Venture. Merrill who Manufactures Previcox for 4 Billion US Dollars

That's aweful! I'm so sorry. I can't imagine. After all we do for our dogs and the lengths we go to to keep them healthy and all it takes is for a vet to prescribe something that does more harm than good. I'm glad you decided to share this information with us. How old was Lilly?
