Well, it has been an extremely long two days. We picked our baby up from the cargo shipping facility (i.e. airport) Friday night. She was scared, covered in poo, and starving, but she made it okay. We got her home, bathed her, fed her, and played with her. Yesterday was her first full day with us, and she's clearly bonded with us. She alternatively sleeps hard and plays hard. Also, she definitely will tinkle on the floor the moment you aren't looking, so we have to watch her like a hawk. Everywhere we go, people ask us if she's a corgi or what kind of dog she is. Everyone loves her. There are two other corgis in my apt complex right across the way, and they attacked her with love yesterday, so now she's scared of them. I think they will become friends once she grows a bit. She has a million toys (well, like 7, and chews on all of them). She also chews on mommy, daddy, the carpet, the couch, and anything else you don't stop her from chewing. Hehe. Other funny quirks are that if you leave water down for her, she will drink a few licks and then she'll start pawing around in it and digging out all the water until her water bowl is empty. And then she lays in the water all over the floor. It's pretty funny. Once she's good and soaked, she'll come running at you and climb into your lap. Also, she sleeps in the funniest positions. If she's scared, she'll try to climb up your body until she's sitting on your neck. I'm not sure what that one's about. :)
Anyway, so far, she's been an incredible, if not exhausting, joy in our lives. :)
