What do you think of this little girl?

The previous owner that gave up this Corgi said she was a purebred (Pembroke) and her coloring was acceptable. It doesn't matter as we just love her and she isn't going anywhere, but I'm just curious what other Corgi people think of our Alice? She has all the Corgi mannerisms and really strong herding instincts. She weighs about 30 pounds and has pretty course hair but blows like any other Corgi I've seen. Don't know really what else to tell you about her, but she is quirky! I tend to think she is blue heeler-corg; just wanted some other opinions.

I should added we are having some training issues with her. She believes she owns the road we live on. We have 2 acres and I like to be in the yard with the dogs. However, whenever Alice sees ANYONE (outside a car) she runs up to the road to check them out. Once in a blue moon if I see them before she does, I can block her with my body and she will stay, but if she's all ready in motion - forget it. I hate to keep the training lead on her or in the fenced portion of our yard when the other dogs are loose.
The other issue we have with her is she insists on getting in your face to lick you. If you bend over her, she will jump up and actually nip. When she sits on my lap she will continually try to lick my face. I can eventually get her to settle if I hold her back long enough. Other times I will just get up and walk away from her or we've tried a light pinch on her hind-leg when she does it. We've had her since July 08 and there hasn't been a lot of improvement. That was another thing; the owner told us she was spayed and housetrained - she wasn't! errrr!

I agree about the cattle dog. They are some of the smartest dogs I have ever known ( next to corgis of corse!). Regaurdless, beautiful charismatic face. Great markings! A keeper!

I thought I saw some Australian Cattle Dog in her; either way, she's beautiful!

My guess would be a heeler mixed in somewhere, but she is adorable.

She looks like she might have a little blue heeler in her background. I know that none of that changes how much we love our babies though!

I'm not sure if I would say she's all corgi, but she's definitely got some in her. Her coloring isn't quite right for a pem, and her legs seem a little too long, but she's definitely a pretty girl. I love how her eyes look next to the black on her face. I'm thinking maybe one of her relatives a little higher up wasn't all corgi, and that may be why she looks a little different. Regardless, like you said, we all love our little ones no matter what they look like or where they come from. :)
