Mine is definitely not summer. Why? My kitchen floor looks like a barber shop on a Sunday. There is no corner left untouched by corgi hair. I sweep, they walk through, and you would never know I picked up a broom. I swear, we brush enough dog hair this time of year to soak up the entire oil spill in the gulf and then some. Does anyone know any tricks to getting at that hair under the top coat? It comes out in tuffs! We pluck, we use the Fermanator, we brush, we blow...

We aren't going to shave the pups but my husband is "plucking" Buddy. Basically he lifts the top coat and pulls the fine, down like hair out in clumps. Buddy seems to like it and he still has more than enough hair to spare. I have heard people talk about taking their dogs to the groomer to have them blown out. Any idea what that is about?

It will get better. Mine usually shed a lot 2 times a year. I agree with Stephanie don't shave! After they swim and I brush them wet that seems to get a lot of hair off!

Oh don't shave your corgi - MANY posts in the blog and in the forum about this. As far as the hair - it's just part of loving them - it's like having kids and constantly cleaning jelly off the floor and slobber off the sofas, it's just part of having them in your home and having the privilege of loving them and having them love you!~
