Wookie has terrible gas. He can clear a room in one "pfffff". My other 2 dogs are on senior Canidae kibble and the Wookster is on all stages Canidae. It is not a grocery store food, by all means. Does anyone else feed their dogs Canidae? Do they have the same gastric issues?

Fitz is eating Canidae and his farts (and poos) smell awful. I'm glad to hear it's not just him! It's so bad, I'm thinking of finding another food.

The good news is.... the better the food the more your body does it's "thing". I have a friend who is a dietician, that agrees with the feed peeps. Funny, I must not be eating so well. I'll stick to junk food and fresh clean air.lol

Paula, did you find out anything about Wookie's situation?

I am going to the food professionals tomorrow. I could possibly get used to the gas, farmers are immune to the smell of crap. I would hate to think Wookie has pains in his belly. I get gas pains that I don't appreciate. I actually feel stupid talking about farts.... but hey, know one really knows me here. Ha, ha, he, he

Tod's on Wellness Super5Mix and 2 Tbsp of regular kefir a day - no excessive gas. One-A-Day (like the vitamin)... Everyone's happy:)

No, they aren't a bad thing. All dogs fart. It is the excessive farts that is a problem. Both of my dogs probably fart once a day; we just usually don't smell it!

So are farts supposed to be a bad thing? I'm starting to get worried.. Ein farts maybe once a day.

From what I remember, Trunks had stinky farts a lot when on Canidae. We had to switch when we moved here, because no one sells Canidae in our area!

He has really no farts on Blue Buffalo!

All of my Corgis used to be on Candiae ALS and no persistant gas issues. I have switched them to a grain free food. Natures Variety--Instinct and Brodie had developed stinky gas, but only a few stinkers a day. Not what you are experiencing. When Fergie was on Prednisone for a short time her gas could easily clear a room!
