why does my corgi like to sit on my face?

since yohan was a pup he always liked to sit on my face. i was told it was because he didnt respect me. i know he is super spoiled and turns his head when i ask for paw but i did just teach him to play dead after i point finger like a gun and say bang.so deep down he still trys to please me oh and he learned without a treat.lol

Franklin likes to sit on my shoulder when I am on the couch and survey his domain, he does this to my friends and parents too. I can easily get him down but its so darn funny I just let him stay.

Comment by Emily & Scout on March 2, 2012 at 11:59am: Corgis are strange little creatures who think they can get away with anything (and do since they're so cute). I couldn't get Scout to shake for a long time (I think due to the short legs) but with enough practice, she does it willingly now.

I don't really think he's saying he's the boss. I think it is just one of the many quirks of the breed. As long as he is well behaved otherwise, I wouldn't worry. I f you don't want him doing it, just put him on the floor every time he does until he gets the right idea.
