we need a playdate...i probably won't be home until thanksgiving =( ....and we don't even have the whole week off, we get out of class wednesday at noon...lame!
Hey Marti (and Toki!), yeah, I've been seeing your pictures of Toki on facebook...she's so adorable. You have so many cute pictures of her :) I'm so excited that Morganne is getting a corgi, too!! Please let me know when you guys are meeting and I'll try to be in town with Bron for it!! have a great day,
Meredith
I thought your Xbox live request was from here. Whenever you guys are up for it, we can have a corgi-driven zombie smackdown! (Stanley's mommy is more afraid of them than he is.)
For the Horde! Well, actually to answer your question I have toons on both factions but my main is an Undead Priest. lol As for cosplay, I think your best bet with Star Wars costumes is 501st.com which should point you to someone in your area who can get you on the right track. I have never done a SW costume but I did some looking into it for my brother. :) Now for my cosplay I have done stuff from Dynasty Warriors, Phoenix Wright, Bleach, Katamari Damacy...oh the list goes on and on. My hubby wants to do some Cowboy Bebop so Ashton can cosplay Ein. lol
Hi Marti and Toki! Thanks for the comment on the pic. I loved watching your photo slide show. So cute! Too bad we live so far away, Ashton would love another Corgi playmate!
Hello! I just wanted to say, I'm not currently in Louisiana (I'm in Kentucky), but my mother lives in Lake Charles (and I used to live there)! The next time we're down there, we'll have our lovely Corgi, Miso Soup, come along with us. So perhaps we could be friends, and perhaps when I DO visit down there, miss Miso can have another Corgi to play with. :D
oh no!! i wish i knew about that sooner!! we just got back from the beach. we're pretty tapped. haha. thanks though. i'm glad we're finding fellow geeks here. :) toki is gorgeous by the way.
i'm thinking about starting a louisiana corgi group. the only one i can find so far is "south louisiana corgis" and we're way up here in shreveport!
thanks for the welcome....been away so could not respond sooner...yes, that is an insane corgi in the picture! can't wait to learn more about all these new friends!
I'll put your e-mail on the Magnolia Corgi Festival list. I normally start sending e-mails out around the summer so we can begin planning and see who wants to host the event this year.
The festival is usually in October. I can add you to the Magnolia Corgi e-mail list so you know when I begin planning the event. We have a couple that come from New Orleans. Also, tell your friends in Lake Charles. BTW, I placed a puppy with a vet in Broussard.
I didn't really start a corgi "club." I wanted to locate other corgi owners through out Louisiana and the surroundng areas. We usually have 20-30 corgis and 30-40 people at the event. Different people host the event. We have food, live Cletic music, games, educational discussions, grooming demonstrations, costume party, CGC testing, etc. We also have a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting Corgi Aid. In the last six years we have raised more than $3,000 for Corgi Aid and $900 for animals abandoned after Hurricane Katrina. It is a lot of fun and a great way to get to know more corgi people.
haha poor toki! rhet got a bath with his new shampoo and so far he's not biting his paws :) he was sooo tired last night, i dont think hes ever slept that long... i actually had to wake him up this morning! it usually the other way around! haha!
