Hi Kristen! Would you mind checking in on GoCorgi when you have a couple extra minutes? There is a member (Bienchen) whose dog (Ein) was hit be a car two days ago and Ein's pelvis was broken in two places. I'm sure she would love to hear any advice you have from having a similar experience with Basil. Thanks! Hope all is well with your crew. : - )

Kristen, how are you and the 4 footed children? Brodie must be getting bigger. Roscoe's HTWM check was negative, so good so far. I look at other "adult" corgis and when I compare, he seems to still have that puppy look about him which is ok with me. Looking for a job, but....not much luck so far. My Zach moved to MackinacIsland for a summer job so this will be my first Mother's Day without all my kids...kind of bummed about that, but what can you do? Everything here is green and luscious and growing, finally, yeah. Will put in some veggie plants in a week or so, yum. Take care and have a wonderful Mother's Day. Penny

Thanks for your comments. I sometimes think we are insane to have 6 dogs but I would really be lost without them. They are all different personality wise. Your corgie's are adorable. I think thats why we wanted one (having 5 dogs already 4 heelers and one jack russell) because they are absolutely beautiful dogs and have such character.

Sorry to hear that. Very sorry for your lose. Snowy did pretty good on Sunday. He got beat by a Champion dog in the final round for the Pembroke's but the judge told us it was very very close and almost gave us the points. We are really excited since this weekend was his first show. Can't wait to get him back out. I know that he will be at the Qwest Center show in Omaha this coming July.

Kristen, Sounds like you've been having fun. I loved when my son Zach played ball (only little league). Going to the little township parks and cheering on! What good times. Did your doggies catch any fly balls? Ha.
nice weather still. Everythings ok now with R. Probably forgot everything that happened to him at the vet! Good. Read your remark about tail docking. Was always soooo against altering pets to look a certain way, but that stumpy butt is so charming. We've always had dogs with great tails! Roscoe's hair has that little "bee stinger" you mentioned. When he gets excited and tries to wag, that stump goes up higher and cracks me up. Take Care. Penny

How is everybody in Nebraska? Warm yet? When I see Brodie's pic he reminds me of Roscoe when he was a baby. Took him and Pen to vet today for heartworm, etc. He hasn't been vaccinated per vet's advice but wanted to take care of heartworm situation at least. I took my oldest son Aaron with us thank goodness. Roscoe hadn't been there in over a year and was terrified! The vet and techs were wonderful with him but a little muzzle sent him over the edge. Was thrashing around so wildly was afraid he would smack his head and kill himself. Took the thing off and he calmed down a little, but he was panting and slobbering so much I almost lost it to see him like that. My son sent me outside and after 25 minutes they were able to get enough blood for the test. Took them to DQ for doggie cups! With him not being neutered he's getting a little aggressive. So afraid he might eventually get too bad to handle. Usually am ok with this, but today was draining and made me think of his future and mine without him. Thanks for listening. Know you understand. Penny

Nice to know we are so close! We also have a Cedar address but a phone number from Prague! I don't get how they do that! Every call I have to make is long distance!
We don't know alot of people from Cedar, and now that our boys are graduated from high school, we only go there to the Post Office!

It's actually my tri color Louie that was trying to sneek a drink from my pint of Guiness. We that it was so funny we had to take a pic being they were both black and tanned colored.

Ahh the Gallatin... I went to college near there (Bozeman). Thanks for the advice on the fencing. Do you happen to know of a website where I can get a gate kit for the wire fencing?

Yeah, I have learned that next time we'll definitely want to have the parents of our pup certified before we look to adopt. That's exciting you're looking to breed yours...every once in a while I think it'd be something we'd like to do when we have more time and money, I'm sure it's a lot of work. You'll have to let me know how it goes! Who knows, maybe one day we'll happen to be in Nebraska at just the right time to check out a litter ;-)
Aww...a bunch of tiny corgs would be so cute!

Thanks for dropping by-there has just been a lot going on plus we got two new kitties a few weeks ago. I did just post an Jake update...

:-) Maybe one day we'll be brave enough to give another one a try! (Though I don't think our kitties will be too happy about it!) Right now, we're dealing with Hammy's hip dysplasia :-( Trying to prevent it from getting any worse (he's still so young), but he's sad he can't run in the yard for a while..
