hi mikonami,
dono how but i ended up on a post and you were saying that u have become a pro concerning plane trips, i decide to write you coz i need some suggestions and maybe you could help me or give me some tips.
It is the first time that she will get into a plane and i am not sure about what to do, she is very afraid of noises, i don't know if i have to give her pills or not, flight will be 3 hours 30 minutes and we will return in a week, I am a bit scared of giving her pills in that short amount of time, Is it dangerous for her?? what kind of pills should i give her???
Thanks and looking forward to hear from you.
Hey! Since the MD corgi group's leader has let the group fend for itself, we've created a new group so that Corgis in the DC/ MD area can meet up and stay in touch! Come join us!
How long have you been in Baltimore? Have you gone to Paper Moon or the Visionary Art Museum? You have to go! My Dad is from Baltimore, and I lived behind Pimlico Race Track for a year while I was in college. It is a really awesome city... I wonder when Hon-fest is....
Hi, Mei is so cute! I just saw a post about Mei digging in her bed, it was so wierd out of the blue a couple nights ago, our corgi started digging in his bed, he has never done this before! Then the next night again, not sure why he is doing this, have you figured out why Mei was digging in her bed. The only thing I can think of with lance's bed is that the fluff was not right in the bed like maybe it shifted too much or I felt like maybe he was trying to get to something under his bed, lifted the bed and their was nothing.....hmmmm....dont know! Natalie
P.S. Lance is 2 1/2 now and hasnt done this since he was a puppy but this time it was definately more intense than his puppy days!
oohh and yes! bailey is a big big boy. im guessing around 27 lbs but hes REALLY lean and long. hahha. =P i asked some people at the last corgi meetup on how big theyd think hed get, and i got responses around 35 lbs, since hes got those enormous (yet very cute) paws. =P
Every year, the local Major League Baseball people set aside one game a year where u can take your dogs! It's been going on for 10+ years, but this was our first one! Going to make it a tradition! Anyways, they had volunteers with jugs of water to refill free bowls they gave out, and we were segregated to the bleacher section of the stadium so cleanup would be controlled. =P We had a blast! I know other teams do it too besides the SF Giants, for instance the team across the bay, the Oakland A's - has a dog days of summer event too! It's great!
Hi Lydia, sorry I am getting back to you sooo late. We are OK, still struggling with the allergies. Haven't figured anything out yet!
I loved the pictures of Mei's b'day party and cake. Wish I could have been there. Came looks yummy. She is such a sweet little thing!!
How is school going? Are you in year 2 of 4?
I can't imagine being without your baby!!! Will she be coming to join you? or do you have to wait until Xmas to see her?
Good to hear from you, take care, Joy
Thank you so much and Happy 4th of July in a few days. Thanks for your comments, I am behind in correspondence, sorry....I always enjoy reading your stories, particularly about the tic tac toe game. I have never heard of anything like that. I wish I could go to a Corgi get together.
I live in Canada's smallest province (sorry, typing without glasses on leads to typos). There are only about 140,000 people on Prince Edward Island. No one around here has seen a Corgi before. Everyone thinks they are sausage dogs or hound dogs. I spend a lot of time explaining. Also, everyone thinks he is a puppy because of the short legs. It is too funny.
THe place you were in CAnada was probably Windsor; no I would never bother going there either; an industrial city. Canada is very beautiful and very big (i think the 2nd largest country in the world). We have every climate except deserts and tropical. There are so many beatiful, diversly geographical places to see. Also, where we are bilingual, you can go to Europe, in a sense, by seeing the city of Quebec (French spoken); it looks like an old city in Europe.
Where I live there is a lot of farmland, very pastoral. I was in England and it looks a lot like the countryside in England. We get a lot of American tourists here to get away from it all (cities) and also we are famous for Anne of Green Gables; ever hear of her?
Thanks for telling me about the broken nail...I am even more careful when I cut Buttercup's nails now. These vet bills are outrageous. Is Mei's new nail growing in ok? PS If you tired of taking pharmacy, why don't you consider being a vet...I bet you would be good at it. Take care. I'll check your messages later and see if I missed telling you anything. Oh, yes, the heat. I can't believe that you can stand 100 degree weather. I really feel for your poor family. I think I would die if I had to live through that. I start feeling sick about 80 degrees. Buttercup and I live by the airconditioner; he has about the same heat tolerance as I do; not much. I took him for a little walk this morning and at about 8 minutes we were both fading...I didn't think he was going to make it across the lawn. It was approaching 80 degrees.
That is cute that you show your friend's Buttercup's waving video. My neice, who is in university, begs me to send more videos so she can watch them while she is a work in the evening. I had another man tell me he was watching them at work to cheer him up. I am glad that they make people laugh. I can laugh at myself and I often laugh when I watch them.
Did you see the latest 2 I posted...me singing a song (I think you may have seen that one) and I figured out how to cut 5 mintues from the Tweety Video and posted about a minute or so of it...it is too cute; mya favourite.
I was playing Tweey yesterday and he did the same thing again (only the 2nd time), rose up and started waving at her. Too cute. He is waving so much that we are concerned that it may be hurting his back. the last 2 times he almost lost his balance and fell over backwards. Also, last night he was trying to jump on the sofa and smashed his chest into the side of the sofa (he couldn't make it). When he tried again, he smashed into it again and started to fall over backwards..he gets tired at night. We got these little stairs out for him and are trying to get him to use it. Where he is so heavy, I worry about his back.
How is your on-line course going; I would find that very hard to do...do a course being that close to MyCorgi.com IT is an oxymoron. See yeah, Joy :)
what is the name mei mean??? i have another asian pal, with corgi and her dog is mei mei-----------okay, i am chinese too, but i have no idea what mei or mei mei means....a cute name......hehehe, maybe it means cute or sweetheart??? i am Cantonese, so maybe this is mandarin, or am i just making too much out of the name here?????
smiles : )
o yes, trading cards, hey, i think i will try out greeting cards, blank with pics of kaley corgi with rani or playing etc..think that would be a good idea?
and yes, kaley corgi cards would be cute ---- playing, agility, jumping, wet, with the macaw....etc!
I love your photos, I have looked at them many times. Mei is so pretty and so are you. What kind of birthday cakes does she have? Are they for dogs? does she have a little muzzle on in some of the pictures? I think I am like you....spent way to much time on this site... i have to go and get ready for the day but can't tear myself away.
