In my last experience, we went to key west and the room was in the VIP wing, it was top notch, close to exit, easier to take the dogs out. Plus we had a bag of doggie goodies from the hotel. The room it self was awesome, clean, no smell what so ever. Bottom line is, go for the mid range to higher priced hotels, you get what you paid for :) Yup Sep 21st :)

I grew up in Pensacola and went to school in Gainesville (go, Gators!) but I had to look up Viera to see where it is. I'm not familiar with your part of Florida at all.
Right now, sitting here in Seattle, those beach pictures are looking awfully good!
