Hi again
Yes I think LaVerne would have been a great mommy too but Im so new to the dog world I decided to leave that to the experts. As for showing I dont know anything about that either. I do know that her Grandpa is Sammy Sosa, some fancy schmancy show dog but that too is lost on me.....lol. I just wanted a full time companion and she fits that bill perfectly!
I upload videos using a Flip Video camera. It does all the work for me. It has a USB that flips out of it and I just plug it into my computer and it autmatically transfers them to my computer. Then one more click and it goes onto Youtube. Too easy! They are pretty reasonably price. From around $90 to $230 dollars. You can check them out at amazon.com and see what you think.
I did ask my vet about peanutbutter and she says its just fine to give it to your dog. She likes to put it in kongs and then freeze it. Keeps them busy for quite a while. I personally wouldnt give my dog any peanutbutter dog treats. I saw they added some dog treats to the recall list yesterday because of possible salmonella. They say that jars of peanutbutter are fine tho. I think Id wait just the same but Im that way. Neurotic my husband says.....lol
Oh my gosh! Gracie and LaVerne could almost be twins! Too cute X 2! lol Thank you for the sweet comment on LaVernes video! :o)
Im taking LaVerne in to get spayed this morning and Im way stressed. Her whole body trembles when she is at the Vet and I hate the thought of leaving her there. :o( Oh well.....has to be done. Wish me luck!
Hi Gracie! Corky too is from Colorado and moved to Arizona like you to stay warm, but where we live, it still gets cold. Corky was born in Mancos, Colorado on March 1, 2005. I live in northeastern Arizona, so we get our shares of snow and when it snows, Corky's legs are covered in the snow and it looks like he's gliding on snow with no legs...lol! So cute!
Finn came from a breeder in New Mexico. The only Cardi breeders in Az either didn't breed for blue merles or they had a waiting list at least 2 years long. Finn came from a great background though so we are very happy.
I'm undecided about the collar/harness issue. I like the collar because I think it makes the corrections easier and you can redirect the head if the puppy becomes distracted by something. I like the harness because he isn't choking himself and you have a little more control when it comes to pulling. When he is an adult and has better walking skills I will go back to using the collar only.
I have not done any showing yet. I am looking into getting that started with a couple of our dogs. In fact I have an email in to a couple people in my area asking questions - so when I hear back I will pass the information on to you. You might want to get in touch with your local kennel club - they would have a list of shows in the area.

Aw, she's adorable. I don't know about any shows in the area. I considered getting a Cardigan to show but decided I wouldn't want an unneutered male running around the house so that wouldn't really work. We're thinking about getting into agility instead. I think that herding class you mentioned would be a lot of fun too. Finnigan has great herding instincts and I'd love to see him at work. :)
