By verbally saying "play outside!" (excited) or "potty." (firm, serious) several times before walking out the door, and also while out on the grass. He'll learn to differentiate your verbal cues and voice tones very quickly. Also we bring a squeaky ball during "play outside", even if he doesn't want to fetch, just as a reminder that we DON'T bring the ball during "potty". If it's "potty" but all he's doing is eating grass and running around, we immediately bring him in until he's ready to really potty. At first he peed everywhere, but after only 2 days he's picked out 2 favorite grass spots. But I must say, this is my fourth puppy, and he is the most unpredictable I've ever raised so far.

Tigger is so handsome! I hope he is doing better and rice usually helps. I used to feed my puppies Blue and it was great. Keep posting photos! Happy Easter!

Hi! I got Tigger is August of 1984 and he lived till June 2000, he was just about a month past his 16th barkday. I love cardigans, although I didn't know about the breed at all before calling about the corgi. I had always, always wanted a corgi, i.e., a pem. However when I went to see the puppy I just knew "Peanut" was for me. I changed his name to Tigger immediately because he had so much bounce, like Tigger in Winnie the Pooh. Since then I have never been without a cardi, and I doubt that I ever will. I just lost my darling Divine Miss Emily in January; she had just turned 9, so it was a quick, unexpected, and traumatic loss for all of us. I will get another cardi when there is a puppy that's right for Skeez and me. For right now, he's an only dog; I think he needs a sibling to have their own mini pack.

My first corgi, a cardi, was named Tigger and he, too, was the love of my life. He was a black and white "tuxedo" boy.
