My last dog sustained neck injuries when a dog attacked her. She had stitches and a tube helped drain the wound. I definitely know how hard it is to see your dog go through that. She recovered fine; her wound healed and her fur grew over it, covering up the horrible incident.
I saw your comment on Jibi's page regarding the picnic yesterday. I don't think I met you guys. Was Wally the one with the protective collar? I'm sure he'll make a full recovery.
BTW, I posted my pictures online. You can find a link on my blog if you're interested.
Oh, my! We're sending all the best wishes for a speedy recovery for Wally!
If you can make it to the picnic on Saturday, we would love to see those big paws! If you cannot, we certainly understand!
Phoebe used to like to "dig" in her water bowl too. What we did was to get one of those kidding wading pools & allow her to do that "digging" in there. It seemed she thought that more fun & stopped doing it in the drinking water. I don't know if it would work with Wally, but may be worth a try?
Thank you and welcome :) People also comment to me how big Owen's paws are! They say that's an indication he'll be a huge corgi! I've been unsuccessfully trying to train him to stop jumping on people who say hello to him since I can see how he might end up tripping people over if he gets any bigger since he lunges and throws all his weight! I think Owen is also a sable too - initially I thought he was red & white, but with the black on his head, it would seem he's like Wallie :) Hehe, I like his picture hiding under the bed.

It was really nice to meet you all at the CorgiAid Picnic. Hope Wally gets well soon! :)
