Hello Geri & Sidney! :) Thanks for the welcome! Yes, he is named after the Hunger Games character, but he is also named after my first forever dog (who had to be put down back in January of 2010 at the age of 18), a Border Collie mix that was simply amazing and was literally one of my best friends--his name was Petie. Peeta's eyes and expressions remind me a lot of Petie and Peeta was my favorite character from the Hunger Games books, so it seemed fitting (since I didn't want to re-use Petie's actual name). So there you have it--the reason for the name. :)

Hi! His name is Benson. He's about 4 years old. We rescued him from North Shore Animal League in North Shore Long Island. He was saved from a puppy mill where he was being used as a stud. He's learning how to be a dog!

I see you had a Chester too! I'm sorry you had to say goodbye back in April. Wow, I hope my Chester lives to be 17! He'll be 11 in Oct.

hey geri and sidney! sadly, tails does not have a tail ): sometimes we like to call her "tails no tail", but we'll make up for it by making her a stuffed one for halloween, if she can keep it on, that is!
