Thank you ladies.  I'm so excited about this web site and other Corgi owners.  As soon as I get Abby home I will upload a picture.  She was a month old yesterday.  I hope to have her home by the end of July, first part of August.  I'm ready and excited.

Thanks for the welcome... My corgi's name is Bailey. I didn't realize how common of a name that was for a dog until too late... it fits her though!!

Hi

When you see how thick the start of their tails are you wonder why people would have them docked at all.  I think dogs like to wag their tales.  Our little Evi loves nothing more than chasing her brother Nelson (who is much faster) and grabbing on to his tail for the ride!

Thanks! I uploaded some more pictures :) The floppy ears throw me off, so I'm not sure what our pup all is... soon when we have some extra money we're taking him in for a puppy DNA test (fingers crossed for part Corgi)!

Thanks for the welcoming:)  We named her Penny.  She had her second series of shots today and has been a trooper even though the spot seems to be sore. :(

Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to post on the corgi.com web site.  I hoping that some other corgi owner might have a clue what I can do to help Rufus with his hair loss and skin problems.

Sidney is so cute.

Thank you very, very much for the information on therapy dog training in your area.  I would assume it wouldn't much different here but I am going to look into it closer to when Holly can begin the training.  In the meantime I will get her into obedience classes and we will work with her at home on commands also.

We went to visit her over the weekend.  She is adorable!!  I can't wait to bring her home!!!  I was  having so much fun visiting the pups and Holly's mother and father I didn't take any pictures.  There was a big storm coming up so we couldn't stay very long but I will post some from the breeder's website when she posts more.  She usually puts updated photos on weekly and sends more via email.

Hi Geri and Sydney, I have noticed some differences between my Cardi and the Pems I was owned by in the past. The obvious one is the Cardi tail versus the Pem nub. Cardis turn their front feet out about 45 degrees when they are sitting, and their ears are much larger and rounded instead of pointed. They weigh a bit more and have coarser top coats. My Pems were more outgoing than my Cardi--he is a bit reserved when meeting someone for the first time. And my Cardi has a wicked sense of humor--he plays jokes on me.

Thanks for the nice welcome Geri and Sidney :)  I am sure Sidney is a hit everywhere he goes.  Corgis are good-will ambassadors LOL   Perhaps sometime you can tell me about the therapy dog program - how old dogs have to be to take the training, what is involved, etc.  I wouldn't think I'd want to start the program until Holly is a year old or a little older.  There will be so many other things to work on with her in the meantime.  I can't wait to bring her home!  We are going to visit her today at the breeders which is about an hour away so I'll try to get some photos and post them.
