I had wanted a Corgi my whole adult life. They are just the smartest, most entertaining and totally portable dogs for our lifestyle! Our only issue is their over protectiveness, as we do not believe in electric fences and neither does our vet or our breeder. They tend to bolt out of the yard and bark wildly at anyone coming by.

I had to do a double take and look back to make sure it wasn't Kadi! Maybe it was seeing her that made him brave enough to show himself to us instead of running away. I got the feeling he'd been run off a few times already from other places.

By good breeders I mean those that do the necessary health tests on their breed, also breed for good temperament and breed for healthy conformation. As you know the Welsh Cardigan Corgi is not docked in his country of origin.

I am finding some difficulty finding a corgi breeder here. I ask every owner I see where they've got there corgi. I have been in contact with 2 breeders on other islands and fingers-crossed, I hope to have one in the family by the end of the year. I'm so excited!!
