Hi Geri,
As we did, there is a lot to worry about. Trust me, your dog will not associate pain with you. They instinctively know that you are helping them. The exercises have to be done three times per day for about twenty minutes each. It is all about bending and stretching. I am sure the vet will give you instructions. Also, we were fortunate enough to have a doggy spa near by where we took Corgi twice a week for swimming therapy. This is what really made a big difference in her recovery. Swimming is still the best therapy. I hope all goes well with the surgery. Corgi whimpered a lot for the first couple of days and this is normal. It freaked me out. May God be with you.

You can get a lot of valuable information on our site www.corgimama.com That is the sole purpose for our website. To inform and educate about that terrible diagnosis of hip dysplasia. Check it out and get back to me if you have any additional questions or need more info.
My heart goes out to you. My best friend's dog (not a Corgi) was just diagnosed but he is too old for the surgery.
Geri thanks for the offer. I could just spend hours on this site & try so hard not to...I just picked up 3 rolls of pictures! I want to get them on our profile to share but It takes me so long...Any advice? At home we only have dial-up so it takes forever to add one pic at a time...I just can't wait to share though so I guess I'd better get started and pace myself...
o very much so. from me & others. she only got petted when she had all four feet on the ground & as hard as it was i asked people not to pet her if she jumped up on them. people were amazed that she was only 6 months & minded so well. i couldn't have been prouder.
Hello Geri & Sidney!
My little pup's name is Ein...as in Einstein.
There is an Anime called "Cowboy Bebop" and one of the characters has a Corgi named Ein. I credit his name to this show. Nerdy, much? Yes. But my husband and I love him to death!
I'm new to this website and I'm looking for someone who could give me a couple of pointers regarding chewing/biting? Any little bit helps! Thanks! :)
Thanks for the welcome. I really liked looking at the pictures of your tailed Corgi, I have long wondered what their tails were like, when they have one. Your dog is beautiful with his tail, and has something to wag, too.
I was reading your page, What do you mean "frapping"? Do you mean when the corgi runs around in circles like crazy, ducking and reversing? Thats what Rex does when he is particularly happy or excited.
Hi Geri & Sidney! please forgive me for not thanking you when you welcomed us to My Corgi. I'm so sorry...how very rude of me. I guess I was so just overwhelmed and rather unsure how to do all this stuff...It's been a learning experience and work in progress. Please forgive me. I so love being a part of this Corgi community! I also just love your site & all the beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing. All the best Lori, Callie & Cooper
