Hi Alison, he is feeling better, just isn't 100 percent when it comes to wanting to play. Really doesn't have much interest. On vacation last week, he showed a bit of interest in playing with Tucker, I got it on video!! :)
Today, when I was out, my husband had him in the backyard and he was talking to my neighbor, Lance snuck under the fence, lol. Yes there is a gap he can fit under. The neighbors didn't exactly do the best job installing the fence. Our neighbors have a huge coonhound, who is very friendly. Lance interacted with Daunte (coonhound) for a little bit, even tried dominating him :O silly Lance, he's not afraid of the big dogs. Daunte told him politely, no thank you!!! phew....lol.
Tucker has been so patient waiting to play, from time to time he tries and gets Lance to play and for the most part Lance shows no interest and looks at Tucker like hes crazy, lol He slinks away, like leave me alone. When I post the short video from vacation you will see what I mean about Tucker, he does get a bit hyper.
Hope Noodles is doing well!! Thanks for asking about Lance :) Talk to you soon. Hopefully it wont take me too long to get the video and pictures up from vacation.
Thank you for the tip! I’ll definitely try mixing green beans with her food. Rosie loves veggies, although she only likes peas if they are frozen. Maybe she’ll be a little trimmer by the time the Corgi Walk comes around. We’ve been doing more walking now that her knee is healed, and slowly increasing the distance. I hope the weather is sunny for the Corgi walk, I look forward to seeing you and Noodles there!
Thank you Alison... It was much appreciated that you have followed Buddy and his boy's story. We kept very busy with a summer program at our church this week- I imagine the loss will sink in when we are quieter and calmer in the coming days.
Well we should make a date to walk around at minto brown!! I have tuesdays and wednesdays off right now and mornings are good for me. Favorite is all about the sun she cant wait to get outta the house!!!
Hey alison and noodles!! Its been quite a long time since we talked! Hope you two are well! My hubby saw you guys walking a few days ago i guess and i just wanted to say hi!!
Thanks for your comment. Yes, she is an incredible dog. Very sweet for a dog that was used for breeding and never had a real home. She is now 5 yrs. old and has been with us for 1 year on June 12th. I'm going to have her tested to be a child Therapy Dog in the fall. She would be perfect for it.
I’m so glad Noodles is feeling better! And congratulations to him for losing another pound. I was recently told by the vet that Rosie needs to lose a few pounds, it’s really difficult to help a corgi lose weight so I applaud your success! I hope the new food prevents any more lumps from showing up. I’m very glad Noodles is doing better. =)
Hi - Noodles is gorgeous, its funny cause he is a Pembroke and Gypsy a Cardigan yet they look very similar (especially their big white chests) It looks as though he is as spoilt as Gypsy (she also has more toys lying around than the kids!) but she brings us so much joy that she is definately worth it - I wish we had corgi days in Perth but unfortunately there are not many here and i see most of them down at the dog beach at one time or another and ive found it hard to try and get all them together - shame as Gypsy seems to like her own breed - take care and talk soon
Alison, thank you for reading Llyr's story. He means the world to me. It is so important for Corgi lovers to learn about DM. It is a horrible disease. I hope soon more breeders will be responsible and test.
Llyr is doing very well considering his diagnosis. He is one very special Corgi!
Awstin is a wonderful boy too and I will post more pictures of him soon! Thank you for accepting my friend request!
Hey Noodles! Lucky and Sonny would love to have a buddy to chase snowballs with. The snow is finally starting to go away, thank goodness (only the corgis seem to be enjoying this latest snowfall, it is getting downright OLD!) Sonny is downright funny out there chasing snowballs, and with some of it cleared away Lucky can finally use his cart. It was getting pretty cold on the tummy to seal-walk in the snow!
Thanks Alison for the bull costume info. Steve didn't wear the costume as well as Noodles but we had a good laugh as the cowboy swung his hat while Steve walked/ran. The bulls horn didn't stay put so he wore a devils horn instead...LOL.
Tucker is a late a bloomer as far as his ears go. Both of his siblings on here had both of their ears up before he had one up. Also, Noodles looks like a very happy corg!
