You've been to WA before? East side or west side? Sept. is the best month for either, I think. Good weather, no heat, no bugs. Al & I will spend 9 days in the north Cascades starting Labor Day.
Just be sure she doesn't get loose; young pup in an unfamiliar environment.
Great pics of an adorable pup, especially with the light glinting off her eyes.
Get her a volleyball.

Wendy is the same way and has turned into a very dear friend. We wouldn't be driving over 3,000 miles round trip if we didn't believe in her as we do. I have entered into count down time for our trip 28.5 days but whose counting....ME!

Very fitting--desert fox as we live in the deserts of New Mexico. She is our very own "devil dog". That was the first book she got a hold of Run with the Devil Dog so the nick name stuck haha

I'm afraid we only have Sami now, our beloved Tedi crossed the rainbow bridge in 2008. Sami is just the opposite that Tedi was, which is exactly what we wanted. Wendtworths Corgis, Wendy, matched us up so perfectly that we are driving to Ohio to get our second puppy from her. I can hardly wait for her to see Sami all grown up!

Priscilla can't really help with the question about a second corgi right now. However we will be adding a second one in about a month. Sami will be almost 19 months by then. We will be going to Ohio, taking Sami with us, to get her brother or sister. Haven't decided yet which pup. I believe a lot has to do with the introduction. Would be glad to let you know how it goes in about 6 weeks. By the way Quixote is a beautiful girl.

Priscilla -- you said you were thinking about getting another Corgi. Some people like to get the same sex, because they feel they will have fewer problems. I think age makes the difference. Our male is Harley, and he is now about 18 months old. Sophie is just 6 months old. We had some initial squabbles for a few weeks, until the "pecking order" was established, and Sophie learned Harley's one rule -- stay clear of his food bowl. They get along fine now, and have a lot of fun together. After they eat in the morning, they have a "road race" around the furniture in two rooms, and through the doggie door and back in again. They are a lot of fun! You're going to love having this dog in your life!

I know, I need to! I've been sick and between that and work I haven't been able to take any pictures. Thats no excuse though, he has already grown so much after the first week. I'll start taking and posting more pics in the next couple of days. You have some gorgeous pics of Quixote, looks like she found was lucky and found a good owner. :)

OOOHHH! What a cutie! My little one's (Sophie) sire is also Gilby. She's a little fireball, and loves to jump in the pool for a swim.

Our pup, Bonny, is from Poso Creek, parents are Gilby and Paris. She is a real live wire, boundless energy but then crashes when time to go to bed. I am not real good about kennel training like most are. Bonny sleeps on the bed between my husband and myself with her head on the pillow and belly up. The she tries to shove the cat off the bed when the cat comes in! Hard to go to sleep because they are so funny.

Yep. :) Kirby and Lena are both Poso pups, and both were sired by Gilby just by different dams. We were very fortunate to find a breeder as contentious and concerned with the health and welfare of the breed as Kim. Both dogs have been amazing so far.

Welcome Priscilla & Quixote! Just love your profile info! I too have a vacuum nut! Callie thinks vacuuming is fetch time! So we both get a work out...I vaccum and she fetches whatever toy is handy! Best wished to you both...Lori, Callie & Cooper

Welcome to Priscilla and Mrs. Wiley Quixote, did you know that Christopher Lemley, the profile right next to you also got his corgi from the same breeder? I don't often come across the same breeder, especially right next to each other!!! Chasing vacuum cleaners? You are lucky, most corgis are afraid of them (my husband even tried putting his baseball hat on the vacuum to try to "fool" our 1st corgi pup HAHAHA didn't work. Every corgi since has been afraid, I think they teach each other. Anyway, welcome, and enjoy the new pup!!! Carol, Lucky and Sonny
