I hear you about the gas issue! Another reason I will continue to mix for a while is because I can stretch the use of Orijen longer and pay less in the end.
I see you are figuring the food thing out! I started with Eukanuba (thats what she fed Bexar's litter - I imagine breeders get great deals on these brands, and even the AKC can't stay away from the money these companies throw at them). After returning the Eukanuba, I picked up Blue Buffalo at PetSmart - it was the best brand my local store carried and not as expensive as I expected. I now feed a mix of Orijen (purchased at a nice mom and pop operation just down the road) and Blue. I plan on switching to Orijen full time when he is older (mainly because he is doing very well with the mix right now). Good luck finding the right food at the right price!
actually Lance is now 2 1/2! Time does fly....I would say if my memory serves me correctly he has been eating the Natural Balance for about a year. I bet you are so excited to get your puppy. Lance was 14 weeks when we brought him home, I cant believe how fast the time went!
We are feeding Lance Natural Balance Duck and Potatoe. He loves it. In Illinois we can only buy it at Petco and specialty shops. We now are buying it from the specialty stores because the warehouse has problems with their warehouses with infestations. So to be safe we will get his food somewhere else they are not having warehouse problems!
Your baby is so cute. Lance used to eat Iams when he was a puppy....I have learned alot about low quality versus high quality food. We ended up taking Lance off of Iams because he quit eating! For him to quit eating it must have been bad! He loves to eat. We called the vet and he said to switch because of the recall on Iams. I wouldnt trust Iams again whether or not they clear up the issues. That is my opinion. I would rather pay more for a high quality food so I know my baby is getting a good quality food. You should have a healthier pup on a good quality food which is very important. Good Luck with your decision. How old is Banzai now?
Thanks for joining the group! Now we'll have to start righting something. Also, thanks for the update on Florida; I should have thought about that...I love to learn about other places. I was in St. Petes many years ago...it was so beautiful. So different from where I live. This winter, after I got my digital camera I photographed just about every snowstorm we had. I would do it through windows, every one in the house. I have the same shot, different amounts of snow, hundreds of photos. My husband thinks it is hysterical but if you saw our storms, who would go outside during them unless you had to? Also, it would wreck my camera.
I saw it, they are so cute. She said they only eat a few mouthfuls but it looks like they were going for more than that, haha. I wonder what that stuff was...
so when do you get yours?
So true!!! You are so much like me. I was reading about your preparations for your trip and I would have done the very same thing...thought of everything and have a list. Always be prepared is my motto! I should have been a boy scout, haha. Good for you!
Your baby is going to live a VERy good life, I can tell. He will have fun with those toys, that's for sure. I am starting to spoil my Buster a lot over the past few days...I was really strict the 1st month and now I am slipping....I find it so hard to say "no" when he looks sad with those big eyes staring at me.
hey! i just saw some of the carriers you have for banzai. i just wanted to warn you, check to see if he'll fit it when he's grown up. they look small in the pix, but they could be huge in real life =)
Mama mia, I was just looking at your pics. are those toys are carriers all for your puppy? Wow, you have a lot of them. I think your puppy is going to be spoiled rotten, LOL You are going to be a great mama!
It is http://www.myshutterspace.com. There are many beginners as well as professionals. I love to look at the pictures and check them out every day. I find it relaxing to just look at them and read the critiques. There are other members there who have deviant websites there. They are amazing. Check out Sydnie's work. She is young like you and a real artist, she does self-portraits. I think she has a deviant website. You may just start to get into photography. Do you have a digital camera. I just have a Canon point and shoot. Don't be discouraged because a lot of members have the big and I mean big bucks camera. I can't afford it and wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. I am learning bit by bit and have found some websites for free where i can edit my photos to a degree. If you look at Buster's photos, i've learned how to put my name on, borders around, crop, change saturation, vignette and other things that 6 months ago I hadn't heard of. It is really fun. It is something you could do in short little stints at the computer...like 1/2 hour here and there. Anyway, have fun and it is really great to meet you. I am so happy that you will see your puppy soon....it is tooo exciting, isn't it~!!!!!!!!! Yippee, have a great day, I feel better already. I am too happy for you! Take care, your Canadian friend, Joy :)
