Cookie is doing very well. Thanks for asking. She still has the staples, but the bandage is gone and we can see where the surgery was done. She is starting to put weight on her leg, so I think she won't need therapy and probably will not have much of a limp. It has been 2 weeks on Thursday, since surgery.

Eddy's fine.. no we met @ their house and went to the park. Which has worked out with other play dates so far.. But the other puppy is just crazy, and no, her owner doesn't do anything about it. She bites her owner allllll the time. I've never heard the owner say "No" to it. Sigh. Some strays just don't find the right mama..

He is gorgeous. My daughter in Chicago has a blue merle adopted as a stray. She is beautiful too. I am going to send this to her.

Thanks for the welcome. We have a player on our team from the north side. Joe Ori. His brother plays AA baseball.

Was looking like a great summer, but our owner announced out of the blue today that if he doesn't get the team sold by the end of the month he is shutting us down. Still will haul baseball, but it definitely casts a pall over the summer.

Buddy doesn't get around too much anymore. He stays on the deck unless something really exciting happens. We did go to the river today and he barked and went in the river a little. He has one bad leg (arthritis) and it is really slowing him down. He is also pretty deaf. Sometimes I think he is trying to read our lips.

Ha ha, I'm glad you enjoyed the pics! Both masks are Venetian masquerade masks that my husband and I wore for halloween a couple times. His is the one with the long nose and mine is the black and white one.

It started because Jason thought he'd be funny and put the mask on to see what Finn would do and of course Finn was scared of it and growled and barked. I told him to let Finn smell it so he wouldn't be scared and he held it up to his face for him to sniff and I realized it would look really funny on Finn. The rest is history. It took a lot of treats to keep him still but he didn't hate it and I think it was worth it for the pictures. I think he's scary in the long nose one but the other mask kind of looks like it was meant for him. :) Now you'll have to try to put some masks on Lance. :)

Hi, nice to hear from you! As you can see in the picture, Bentley is sort of a pale sable, but I adore all sables. When I first brought him home, his fur was a grayish beige. He looked like a potato, and we called him the Spud Muffin. When he got his big boy fur, it was more red, with the sabling over it. Your boy is DARLING! I love how his colored ears start right out of his white forehead. He also looks very intellegent. Of course, this can be a mixed blessing in Corgis...
