just wondering...do you field breed, do A.I.'s, or controlled? What seems to work best for you?

Wendy, I think you should start a group for your dogs puppy owners...

Thank you for your interest. Cobi was put on steriods early this week, but we don't seem to be seeing any improvement, actually this evening he is noticably worse. He can't use his back legs hardly at all now so we went out and bought a bottoms up leash so we can help him walk. He has an appointment with the vet on Monday. He just looks at us with those sad eyes, asking us to help him.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I was actually thinking about getting a new Shiba Inu pup. There are very few breeders near me. I will do more research before deciding.
Hope you and your corgis enjoy a happy Halloween.

That's nice to have a new corgi member joining your family soon. I am tempted to get another dog online, but I am not sure if it is safe to order pets from the internet.

Hi Wendy, with all of your experience with corgis and other breeds have you had any experience with back/disc problems? If so would you mind me picking your brain about that? Thanks Gail

Hello, how did you get that cute animated dog on your comments space? You have some beautiful pups. I am having trouble getting my pics on as my kids have my tower so screwed up, it won't work! I may have to make a disc and send it to a friend to send through to my address here!! Better w/dogs than machines, LOL!

Yes she loves them, puts a few in each room no matter how many times we gather them up :) We call them her eggs b/c she curls up with them or lays on them. I see you are a breeder, Steve and I are thinking about getting another corgi or corgi mix after the holidays.....we definitely want to rescue, do you know of any corgi rescue centers around southwest ohio?

Your dogs are gorgeous. The tri's remind me of my little Banjo. It's good to see dedicated breeders here!

I can't stop looking at your pics, your herd is beautiful!! I've discovered corgis are like potato chips, you can't have just one! I can't wait until I get a place with a backyard so I expand the family!

I got my first Corgi about 7 years ago. Basil definately convinced me that this was the breed for me. Unfortunately Basil was taken from me two years ago. He was killed in a trap that was set in the ditch near our home. We were taking a walk when it happened. Long story, but it is now illegal to set traps in the right-of-way in Nebraska. Right now I have four Corgis. I am considering breeding my two youngest Corgis, but will have all the testing done to be sure that they are sound in addition to just being so darn beautiful! I waited over a year for my little male. Keeping in touch with the breeder the whole time. We have developed a friendship and appreciate being able to learn from her experience. Brodie (10 months) is the first pup in years that she has allowed to go with a full registration. They wanted to be sure that we were a good fit. Our Fergie (year and four months) came from working dogs--she has beautiful confirmation and personality plus. I'm of the same mind as you, that I want to do it right. Do you have recommendations on reading materials? Anything you thought was especially helpful? My vet is wonderful... not overlly experienced with the breed, but willing to go out of his way with providing me assistance. I can see why you are happy with your dogs. They look beautiful and very happy.
