Leslie,
Just thought I'd wish you well tomorrow. Timmy and I will be marching in the Fortuna Rodeo parade and busy until about 2. If you plan on going to the beach, be sure you have a sweatshirt or jacket, it's pretty cool up here on the far north coast. Also, you might make sure you have a harness for Abby. Sometimes puppies balk a lot with a leash attached to their collar and a harness makes that a little easier. Less likely to slip out.
Good luck and sweet dreams tonight. You'll absolutely love her. Juel and I will be waiting for some great pics of Abby with her new family!
YEAAAHHHHHHH Good luck and have a safe flight there and back for you and your pooch!!! Can't wait to see all the pictures coming in. YEAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Thanks for the comment, she is such a funny Kitty! When we are out side she follows you around everywhere you go like she is afriad you'll do something neat with out her. I am trying to take pictures of my boyfriend dog and get those loaded but rusty won't sit still ERRR Teenagers! Happy one day left!
there is nothing like a corgi pup! they challenge you while they steal your heart!!! I had a cat who I loved very much, but Spencer is the love of my life!!!
You won't have to worry at all, I am confident she will adore you! She is such a happy little baby! I am sure that Steve Will give you the same talk he gave me, but the short version is it will take here about two weeks to adjust. I am sure that with all the love you are prepared to give her that she will love you back! All the puppies he has ( he has some from two litters) are very cuddlely!
From what I have seen he has a great set up! It sounds like a Dr Suess book: HEHE. The puppies have been exposed to big dogs, small dogs, ({red dogs, black dogs} ok back to the serious part) cats, chickens, birds, loud noises, tail tugs, ear handling, toenail trimming. and on and on ..... You have Made a very good choice! As someone on this site told me "don't over think it!" Congrats! I don't know what day you are coming but if I am not working and you have spare time, just let me know. I will bring my camera!
Sorry the pictures are so big, If you give me your address I can email them to you! You are so Lucky to have such a cute love bug! I am so excited for you! oh how I wish I was ready for my puppy now! Can't wait to see you to together! Take care and have a safe travel up!
She is just the cutest thing. She is going to be one gorgeous little girl! Hope you liked our surprise. Juel took the pictures and then came over so we could upload them.
Timmy and I are going for our walk now. Have a great evening!!
Are you excited yet??? IN four days you'll be bring her home. Hope everything is going okay at home and that your hand has gotten better. Can't wait to hear how everything went.
She sounds very sweet! We got Regis from North Carolina, so we had him shipped over to California. So that was why we had to wait a week, it was just too hot to send him over! Oh cats! I love them! I own 3, they are all in California right now- I am getting ready to slowly have them sent to me. I just rescued a kitten the other day, trying to find a name for her right now. I'm trying to find a cool Japanese name, so far we've come up with Shinju, I just think it's cute, LOL. Good luck with your puppy! Anyway, I agree, Cardi's should get more popular. I think that people just don't know they exist! But it's nice knowing that my dog is so unique. I believe that's one reason we always got stopped, no one ever had seen a dog like him! It's so fun!
Oh I've not heard of that breeder before! How exciting! Yes I remember when I was in California, all the corgi's I saw were Pembies. And everywhere I took Regis they were confused by his colors and tail. I loved it, we got stopped everywhere we went. Get ready for a lot of "Oh an Aussie Corgi mix!" And if your pup has blue eyes, get ready for the "Ooh a husky!" Haha. It's fun though, I enjoyed taking him to the out door mall :D
I've always enjoyed Corgi's but the Cardigan has always been my favorite. Such wonderful little legged dogs :) Who are you getting your lucky puppy from? I remember waiting 7 days to get Regis, longest 7 days of my life!
Just wanted to let you know I am headed for a little puppy breath therapy, tomorrow afternoon at Steve's place I will leave my checkbook, However I Will Definantly take my camera with me to get pictures of Petuna! Hope your weekend is going well! And that you and your husband are also doing well1
The countdown is on! How exciting. Hope your finger is doing ok and hopefully your husband can get the smaller clamp so he is not in pain. Are you ready for the puppy to come home?
no worries...we all have other lives than mycorgi.com (maybe except me...i'm fortunate to have a job where i can cruise around the internet as i please) :)
Yes, his results came back, his clamp is poking into his other organs...which is normal as it's a foreign object, but supposedly, it should go away after a year and the body adjusts to it. Jake's a tall guy, and his organs are very large (which is what the surgeon said after the surgery) so, it's nothing life threatening, but the pain comes and goes. I couldn't imagine a sharp, stabbing pain in my side and know there's not much to do about it. We are looking into a small procedure to have it switched with a smaller one, but the surgery was done under his sister's insurance - MediCal (pretty much the crappiest insurance you can have...it's run by the government and she was on disability so that's why this was her insurance company) and unfortunately their view of transplant surgery, whether a donor or receipiant, is after a year, you are cured. His sister is currently in a battle with them to get her anti-rejection meds covered because they're about $1000 a month without insurance!! Can you believe it!! She'll die without them!! It's crazy, the world we live in, I tell you!
Yes, the nights are becoming sleepless...I've been watching the youtube videos of corgis playing and barking and it's funny to watch my cats look around to see where the noise is coming from. I'm excited too, because my baby kitten, Ziggy is about 1, and he sort of grew up around Jakes other sister's dog (half chihuaua, half dachsund)...she'd bring her over a lot and they would play and play and love eachother...my oldest cat, Toby, is sort of an old grumpy kitty so when Ziggy tries to hug him or play, Toby growls and bats him on the head. :( So, I think Ziggy will be happy to make a friend. It's all around such an exciting experience :)
