hahaha!!! I think it's the same "instinct" that makes them want to roll in something stinky!! They're a couple of cuties!!

Odie, God bless his soul, and Lucky used to play the eat the towel game - it was so much fun! They played it with their blankets too, recked havok on the house.
Rufus does precisely the same thing, only he intersperses his body dragging with wild fraps around the room. He gets that insane look in his eyes and tears around at a million miles an hour. It's the funniest thing, and I always look forward to the end of his bath (The bath, not so much, as I basically have to get in the tub with him to keep him there).
Haha, yeah when I take them to the park they always end up getting muddy and have to have a bath when they get home. I towel dry them as best I can but they still insist on dragging their bodies across the carpet haha. Also, when I try to dry them they think they're playing the eat-the-towel game so it's rather ineffective, haha. When we went to the beach they would play in the ocean and I'd dry them but they'd go rub themselves in the grass to try to get totally dry, it was pretty funny
Hey Monica, don't you dry these two cuties?!? Sure enough, they appear to be using the floor and the bed as a towel! LOL My silly husband decided our two should stay in the yard after a bath, because it was so nice, so...they went and rolled in the dirt. I think your idea of leaving them inside is much better!!
