I tried the small basketball with Loki also. It didn’t last long like you said. I think it’s great that Cody is still enjoying his ball even flat. :-)
Loki had a full size Basketball and he had to pull all the skin off it before he could pop it. I’m praying a good soccer ball may be harder for him to pop. Since; I’m crossing my fingers it will be harder for him to peel the outer shell off. I’ll let you know how it goes. :-) Even so with their powerful jaws; I think it is so worth the money to keep buying the toys. Not only is it a blast to watch them have so much fun, but I think they need their toys too. :-) I’m looking forward to seeing more about Cody, he is a cutie. :-)

We bought Cody a small basketball and he did puncture it, but he hasn't chewed thru it. He's still enjoying it even though it doesn't roll anymore...lol

Cody had a great time. Makes buying the balls fun even if they don't last long.
Loki went through a basketball it lasted most of the summer. His birthday is coming up on October 31st so we are going to buy him a good soccer ball and see how long that will last. :) We will see.

Yep, that's about how long the balls last with Duncan. I even got him a large yoga ball. That lasted a little longer. I forgot to keep an eye on it to fill it with more air, and he was able to get a good bite on it.

Thank you so much for the advice! I will get him one soon. He just loves to herd the ball around. The cats are thankful too..lol. And what a great story about the corgis stealing the ball from the boys! Too funny.

Try a basketball. Linus loved everything about his basketball. One afternoon we were at the neighborhood park where three kids were playing pick up basketball. I had the three corgis and Linus bolted towards the familiar thwump, thwump, butted the ball out of a boy's control and scampered down court heading the ball. The boys were bent over in laughter!
