I love it! This lack of interest in herding might come in handy if you take him hiking.

Thank you :) He was a good starter for the morning lol if I cut out the music you would've heard everyone laughing and having a good time with it. Also me constantly going "Charlie get the duckies! Get the duckies!!!"

The other four pups we came with did a lot better hahah.

Very cute! On a scale of 1-10, I would rate his interest about a 2. He had a few flashes of brilliance, though!

I think part of it might be breeding lines and such but yes it seems some are stronger then others. It doesn't nec. mean that you can't 'train' your pup to do the motions but there are different 'drive' levels they check on you. I don't remember the tech. terms off the top of my head at the moment but they test on basically how your dog reacts to the sheep and how well they focus and attend to them. For example - Charlie completely ignored the fact that the sheep existed. Didn't care one bit. That's why they swapped them for ducks lol. While on the other hand Roxi freaked the moment she saw the sheep and probably dreams of lambchop to this day lol.

this may be a silly question, but is the herding instinct stronger in some corgi's than others'? just wondering...

I love watching that little corgi wiggle after those duckies! I also love how he got distracted by food at what looks like to be the judges table. Thanks for making my corgi day brighter by sharing this!!
