Look at this Sidney. It helped me a great deal for the first month. I went three times a week for 20 minutes each. After the first month twice a week and after that once a week. You have your mom worried sick, I am sure. Hang in there tough valley boy.

Hmm, I wonder, does the hydro place supply the little vest, or will I have to buy one? I looove the handle on the top.

My sister has a pool, but I don't think she heats it. Maybe we can use the jaccuzi!

Hi Geri,
Even if you can only afford two sessions per week. This will make all the difference. Talking about hating it. Corgi knew when it was time to go to her sessions. She hated it. You can see the bewildered look in her eyes on the video. But in the end it will be for his own good. As you say, baby steps and each day will be better then the last. Sidney, please don't hate your mom for putting you in the water.
One other thing, Sid's therapy does not have to be in a hydro pool. The objective is the swimming. This can be in a regular pool as long as the water is not cold and his legs do not touch the floor. It's the swimming that is important. If you know of anyone with a pool would be perfect. Heck, you live in California where pools are a plenty. Right?
Good luck to you.

Thank you so much! I think it'll get a little better every day. Baby steps, right? We do have a hydrotherapy place near our home. I'm hoping we can afford 3x a week, I'll have to see what I can work out.

The vet says we can start once the sutures come out on the 24th.

It will be interesting, since Sid hates the water! I'm hoping he'll end up enjoying it. Is that asking too much?

You are so welcome. Corgi hated it but it was necessary. I just hope that Geri can relax a little soon.

I can't say it enough - you are so incredibly sweet for posting these videos for Sidney and Geri. This one literally brought tears to my eyes it was so special to see his rehab process. Being a massage therapist and studying occupational therapy, I'm warmed to see this video. Thank you for posting this!
