Doesn't understand how to use them

I'm so glad to see this. Thus far, I thought my puppy was the only one to attack doggie doors. Mostly he has grown out of it. If you want to see an example, go to my page and look at the video "Trying to fix the Darn Door". He keep me fixing the darn think for months!
This video is a prime example of unintentional training. In the time it took you to take the video, you were effectively training Ferris to enjoy something you do not want him to do, making it more likely he will do it again and creating a problem in the process. The video is cute and funny, but a dog door is one expensive toy! Remembering your previous forum question on how to scold a puppy doing something wrong, the answer is you do not scold a puppy, you prevent unwanted behavior and always put the puppy in a situation in which he can succeed. It will be harder now to distract him from the door flap because he's had fun with it.
That is too cute!!!
