Our corgi was the same way when he was still a little puppy. He would pick it up and throw it over and over again. Eventually he started licking them and now he eats them. It is probably a weird sensation for them to have something so cold in their mouths, so it takes a while to get used to it.
Now Buddy is a cube machine!
