OMG, this is too cute. I remember when Chloe was that little. We used to have to carry her up and down the stairs because they were too steep. I miss those days.

That's sooo cute. It reminded me of mine. He was already 1 year old when he saw stairs for the first time. It took him about 3 days. It's the cutest thing!

Gemma didn't really get into being comfortable going up my open tread stairs til 5 1/2 months, wouldn't try down at all til 6mo...closed steps were no problem much earlier.

We've tried all kinds of things. We tried luring him up with treats or toys. We've tried running up past him trying to get him to chase us. We've tried going around the corner and trying to make it like hide & seek so he can "find" us. Nothing! I think it's the open stairs he doesn't like b/c he can see through them to the ground below. I think we're going to try taking him to closed stairs and seeing how he does on those. It's just the oddest thing b/c he learned to go up the stairs soo quickly and used to love going up them. He did have a couple of missteps but nothing overly traumatic. I really hope he gets over his fear b/c he's getting heavy and I can't keep carrying him!! LOL.

hes so cute. Hope you have luck in getting him to go up and down the stairs. There was a post about someone not being able to get their dog to come back in the doggie door. They made grilled cheese sandwiches and gave a small bite each time the dog went through the door. Maybe this will help with the steps? or something similar.

Oh Stanley!have you tried to have treats while he follows the scent? maybe it will motivate him. Superstar goes up and down! she is a little devil, non stop playing!

lol stanley. thats a funny and cute name
