Cleaning

I am very tired, finished cleaning part of the house, there are more to go. As I saw some of the member said... a slave to my doggies. Since I have dogs, I clean house, dog-houses once a week ,that's a bit over done for my own tradition.
Anyway, they are better with the vacuum now, not really 100 %, it’s chaotic then. They calm down and stay in their house as I tell them, until my work’s done.
You know what, when I got the first dog, I did not have any hope that I can talk to my dogs, no hope to walk the dog nicely as I saw others, no hope to see my dog sit and lay down when I tell them to do then, but now. Just keep doing it, repeat, repeat, some treats .a lot treats with Gizmo, they can learn I realized. It's very cute when my corgi "Gizmo" lay down. Oh, Gizmo doesn’t like dirty. I dream about Gizmo could help me sweep the floor with his tail. it's a dream!
Roomba is big issue for big dog "Rex", he never feels friends with Roomba, Gizmo is fine since the first time we used it. I have 2 dogs, different personalities.
For the hard wood floor, having shedding dog all year long, Roomba is the perfect helper; I have him work during a week before big cleaning.

Comment by Gizmo on July 18, 2008 at 3:35pm: We trained them to sleep and eat in their houses.Their houses are the safest places for them. When they think they are in danger( by their Daddy) they will run to there.
No one can touch Gizmo's house and things I give to him...his bed, his baby (teddy bear) and his pillow. If I do not take these things away--he has it at night--, he carries it and walk around...seems like he looking for place to hide it. Anybody know why he acts like that?

Comment by Anne on July 18, 2008 at 10:45am: Our girl is so scared of the vacuum and we put it off & off. Ist time I did it and she saw me working the cleaner she would not come near me for several hours. Had to give lots of yummy treats and then lap time to be her friend again. Got a good vacuuming done this week because she was at the kennel for a few hours. Trying to get her used to the idea of the kennel. This time of year too hot for her to travel on some jobs so we are getting her used to the kennel. Great idea about a dog house. Le-Le loves enclosed spaces. Will have to get one.
