Puppy Kisses are Good for the Soul (Mail Order Annie)

I just finished this book about Mail Order Annie by Howard Weinstein and loved it. I laughed, cried, thought "oh my goodness I'm not alone!", and really felt the bond the author had with Annie and how much joy and smiles she brought to everyone she met.
The author mentioned he took Annie to the annual Star Trek convention near Baltimore where he was a speaker and she was a big hit. I wonder if anyone here met Annie (80's to early 90's).....

I also read The Courageous Corgi last week which is a cute story about a rescued corgi from Wales who went through hardship before finding his forever home. Very touching story.

Gotta go find some more corgi books...

Puppy Kisses.jpgSusan, it looks like this book was first printed in 2001 and reprinted in 2008. I didn't see any costume pics but that would've been funny - oh, but then she would have already had Spock ears...hahaha.

Pa'ani, I'm hooked on dog books right now so I'm gonna go look for the ones you mentioned. I just started "The Dogs Who Found Me" by Ken Foster.

Not a corgi book but Merles Door by Ted Kerasote is a great doggie book, or even a walk in the woods by bill bryson! sorry, my weakness is dog books, I see one and I have to read it!

Never heard of Mail Order Annie! Is it an old book, or did he just recently write it about their life? Can't say as I've ever been to an S.T. convention. Did she wear a costume?
