I’m changing Scouts name to Houdini last night at around 12:30AM I hear the puppy begin to whine something he hasn’t done in the 2 weeks we’ve had him. Moments later I hear a thud up against the bed room door,
disoriented it scared me a little then I realized what it was. Scout had somehow gotten out of his kennel and was resting up against the door, so I get up and sure enough there he is. He looks up at me as if to say “oh sorry dude, did I wake you?” I’m sure he didn’t do anything other than lean up against a poorly latched door, I was tired when I put him to bed so I probably didn’t latch it very well.

Recon has been doing well on the house breaking, that was until this morning when he pooped twice in the house and pee’d once. I caught him mid poop and mid pee and took him outside but it was too little to late.
He’ll come around I’m sure, but man do puppy craps stink.

And for good measure here's a cute picture of the gang.

I love this photo!! Seanna too was a Houdini whenever we crated her. She actually DESTROYED a soft sided crate when she was a puppy--absolutely chewed it to shreds to get out. Then she'd climb OVER the gates we had set up to keep her in the hallway. Finally we went to a hard sided kennel, that she has yet to figure out. Good luck!

Your Scout story reminds me of an early Linus episode. I thought I had secured him in his canvas crate. While making coffee, I turned around to see him in the kitchen grinning! We returned to the bedroom and the crate - but this time I hid immediately outside the door. Well, that little scamp pawed the zipper, on the inside, just far enough so that he could insert his snout and "snout" the zipper the rest of the way down! He would work hard getting all his fluff out the opening and ta-da! Smart little buggers aren't they! All the best, Nancy, Bear, Tasha and Linus

What an adorable pile of fur! Regarding the potty training - doesn't it seem like it always comes in multiples? I feel like Fergie will go forever - well, maybe more like over a week - and boom, one accident after another. It will happen I suppose. Good thing they're cute!
