Teresa -- My Mom comes over to visit about and I was so hesitant to have her learn her dog was here now. Plus, I thought i t may confuse her... instead she delights in seeing her tho she really has no recollection of her but rather talks about having had a "whole litter" running all over the house.  She never did!  But Mom did, when she was in her twenties, used to raise and breed Australian Silky Terriers, so I think she has confused the issue!  Duchess always acts glad to see Mom but not overly so. She is generally happy to see EVERYONE (esp those who don't like dogs -- ha ha) I think she is much happier here with all the company.  She really is precious!

I just read your corgi page.  I am so sorry about your mom.  We just had to put my dad in a assisted living facility, as nice as it is, it still is not home.  I am so thrilled for Duchess though!  Does she get to visit your mom?  I  think that it is great that you decided to keep her.  Yeah, corgis can be kinda bossy, but they can also be such cuddle bugs!  I am glad she gets along with your dachsunds, (or at least they are letting her have her way).  Good luck with your furry family, and keep posting pictures!
