Gromit was a big guy at 6 months, both in his length and weight.  I even took some pictures of him next to a yardstick so his breeder could see how big he'd gotten.  Essentially, he's just a big guy and has rarely been under 30lbs as an adult corgi.   Your vet and Rocky's breeder should be your best guides for whether he needs to lose a pound or two.  It may take you some time to find just the right quantity of food at meal times to keep him at a healthy weight.

Here's a good guide.  To really get the perfect view though, the corgi really has to be wet.  All that fur can distort reality some!

Google "dog weight chart".  Al is 26 lbs. at 6 y.o.  We just recently added about 1-1.5 lbs. to him on the advice of our breeder.  As Doug & Gromit predicted, Al resisted the extra rations to the best of his ability.  I mention this to point out that it can be useful to get outside opinions.

The vet even told me he is right where he should be. I do spoil him and he get his treats but we also get a lot of exercise and playtime. Rocky means the world to me and I want to make sure I am caring for him in the right way.

He looks good to me.   You can even see the hollow bit in front of his hip which is the sneaky spot where Corgis can carry a few extra pounds.   I think he's just going to be a big boy.  :-)

He's very handsome.  He reminds me a little of my Jack.

Can you possible get a picture of him standing square ("stacked") like the pictures you have of his mom and dad in your profile?  It's impossible to be sure without feeling the dog, but that type of picture would give a better idea.

Being able to feel ribs is not always enough with Corgis; my Jack was about 7 pounds overweight (a lot!) at one point and I could always feel his ribs.  Corgis tend to put on weight along their topline, meaning you can have a chubby Corgi and still feel ribs along the rib cage.  It's impossible to go by just his weight in pounds because some dogs are nearly full grown at 6 months and some are only two-thirds of the way there.  My Jack is skinny at 33 pounds and Maddie, who is nearly as tall, would be a fat, fat Corgi at anything above 29.
