uggghhhh I won't be able to get there until 2....I'll keep thinking the glass if half full!!!
According to the weather site I just looked at COME EARLY to CORGI-CON.
Noon is supposed to be clear, but 50% chance of rain from 2pm - 4pm.
RAIN ?? I hope not. The forecast improves every day, so let's hope for the best. I saw 35% for noon tomorrow and then it goes down to 25% at 2pm.
There is no rain date scheduled. So, my plan is to show up and hope the weather is good. If there is a bad thunderstorm, of course, I will pack it in and go home. Not worth someone getting hurt.
I always plan the event for the weekend between Mother's Day and Memorial Day. My thought is many people go out of town on those weekends and would not be able to come. Next year there are 2 weekends between Mother's Day and Memorial Day, so I am not sure which I will pick. Maybe I will pick the first and use the following Saturday as a rain date. I would have to approve the dates with the Urbana Park District, of course, so I'll look into that next year.
Hope to see you all at CORGI-CON tomorrow!
Lisa
By the way, Kevin, have you been to the Wisconsin Corgi event? Likely not if your Corgi is new to you. It is also a wonderful event with Corgi families attending from various states in the Midwest. It is a few hours to get there I think, maybe a little more. I've been there at least twice and it is a great event with lots of activities and families with their Corgi kids.
I e-mailed Lisa to let her know of your post, Kevin. Asking her what the situation would be. Not only is there CorgiCon, but my older son has his graduation ceremony this weekend at the Library and Information Technology graduate degree program. Cap and gown rented, etc. Too much going on this weekend for it to rain ................. I've been looking forward to both, but it has definitely been chilly and raining a lot.
I look forward to meeting all of the new Corgi families and their little Corgi's.
Tracey .......... I once had a cat named Sunshine. Beautiful, orange tabby. He lived to the age of 12 and I have had some that made it to 16. Wonderful cat. We called him Sunny, too........ I look forward to meeting your Sunny.
Looking forward to our first Corgi-Con. I'm hoping to stop by for a bit before I have to work.
