This is a question mainly for people with older corgis. I met a girl recently who has a 6 year old Corgi mix who had to have surgery on her spine because something was wrong with one of the disks. It's not the first time that I've heard this story. Does anyone know if this is common?

Also, I heard that going up and down the stairs or jumping on and off the bed is bad for their spines. I don't think I can prevent my dog from going on the stairs, but would it be better if I get her stairs of the bed? Since stairs are supposed to be bad for them?
