Everything I've read so far is on average once a month for corgi baths. They say not to do it that often. Obviously, if they roll around in the mud, get icky stuff on them, etc. you'd give them a bath. But, how often do you typically do this. After only a week I cleaned Penelope's ears with doggie ear cleaning wipes, should she have had a bath too? I'm sure she'd hate a bath!

With Kiwi, we've been averaging about once a week/to once every 2 weeks. She goes to day care everyday and we take her to the dog park on the weekends, so she gets pretty dirty. We try to wait as long as possible in between baths, but sometimes it just can't be helped. I know once she gets bigger the number will decrease greatly. Hope this helps.
Charlie has only had three baths: one the day I brought him home, one in November, one in March. Brushing him with a shedding blade and running a towel over him takes off dirt and dust, and distributes his natural oils to keep his coat shiny and healthy. I'm delighted that Charlie is very clean and not a stinky "doggy" dog, so I only bath him when he has an unpleasant odor...not very often. His paws do get grass stains and a little stinky, so I do put him in an inch or two of bathwater and wash only his paws more often.

Shampoos strip the natural oils, and can cause dry skin and a brittle coat. Sometimes, (if they've rolled in mud or dirt), just rinsing in clear water without shampoos will do the trick. Obviously rolling in poop, or worse, would merit a good sudsing. : - )

My vet suggested no more than once a month, but generally "only if he gets stinky".
Thanks, I was worried that I was supposed to bathe her more often than I thought I needed to. She gets a little wet with the dew in the morning and when we have big rains (like last Thursday!), but I find that she is pretty clean. I just wipe her off with a towel, but I have used baby wipes to kind of clean her paws a little (grass stains). I'll have to see how she reacts to just a little water!
I thought I would have to give Blaze his first bath a few days ago since he rolled in mud... but I found that just a dousing with the garden hose got most of the mud off (he DID NOT LIKE THAT!) and he was pretty much back to normal. I really don't want to give him a bath just yet... want to wait until he's REALLY stinky and gooey before I do that. Where do you get your doggie ear cleaning wipes? I've never seen those..
PetSmart had some. I thought they would be easier than cotton balls and the solution. They look like a roll of the Clorox wet wipes, its in a plastic jar and you just pull out one for each ear. It worked really well. I have no idea how her ears had gotten so dirty in such a short time though!
Ear wipes sound convenient! Whenever Charlie's ears get dirty, I use 1/2 and 1/2 vinegar and alcohol (veterinarian suggested), on cotton balls. We have to go outside for ear cleaning because Charlie will definitely sling the excess everywhere. What a mess!

His ears got dirty a lot more often when he was a puppy. Now he's got quite a bit of adult fur right at the front of his ears that seems to keep most dust and dirt out. I'm only having to clean his ears about once a month, instead of once a week when he was a pup.
Oh great, because I'm thinking she'll have to have weekly ear cleanings! I'm not alone!
Lily has had two baths. She likes to play in the rain and sometimes she will stay where the rain can get to her in the kennel. She is a really clean dog, the cleanest I have ever seen! Her ears are not too bad, we use the Revolution for the ear mites and such so that helps a lot. I had planned on bathing her every other Saturday, but after reading this, it will just become a monthly event. The two baths she has had she did enjoy so that is good.
I have never given Kitty a bath.I have wiped out her ears, and taken a towel to her muddy tummy and feet and she swam in the river, last summer; I brush her with the furminater about once a week, but, other than that, she doesnt stink and her coat is shiny and beautiful.
We've had Sidney for 5 months and he's had one bath, when we went to the beach and he got all sandy. We also use the Furminator and I was noticing last night how shiny and healthy his coat was looking. I think his food (puppy Wellness) also helps keep his fur healthy.
I've had Skittles for nearly a year, and I've given her 2 baths: once when she got sandy at the beach and once when she stepped in poop. I think the breed as a whole is a rather self-cleaning one...something about the double coat (insert expert knowledge here). She smells "doggy"-free most of the time, and quite pleasant after I give her her natural flea medicine (clove oil).
I usually wash scout weekly to biweekly. Sometimes he sheds like crazy and i wash him so i can furminate him which requires a clean dog. other than that, if his feet get muddy i just use some pet wipes on him.
