Hey guys!! I was wondering if anyone in the Boston area can recommend a trainer. Again, relations between Camber and my BF have become strained. She's refusing to listen to him when I'm around (only wants to be with me-at all times possible) and tried to nip him the other day. Oh, and last night, she left us a little present in the living room-which she's never done before.

Any help/advice is, as always, greatly appreciated.

Dogs interact and listen to people that make a connection with them. Just because your BF lives there doesnt mean she has a connection. He must make the attempt to interact with her and work with her to form that bond. It is not remotely unusual for any dog to ignore anothers commands if they do not have a relationship with them. If your BF wants a working relationship and respect he will have to earn it. You can bet your pup is well aware of his dissatifactions which probably contributes to her coming to you. I suspect her "present" on the floor was unrelated.
I agree, Sam. He and I have different approaches when it comes to her. I'm just thinking that a trainer may help give him some tools to bond with her. Considering her past, I am a bit more understanding of her set-backs (they were getting along before), but he can be a bit impatient. We'll continue working with her and I'll still consult a trainer for additional info.

As for the "present", well, I hope that it was unrelated and that she wasn't acting out because we were home for just a brief time after work before we went out for the evening.

Thanks for your input!!
