Does anyone have actual proof that Canidae is now going to be manufactured at Diamond Factory.

Hi Everyone,

There is a lot of angst on the Internet re Canidae changing their formulas and also that they are going to be using Diamond (associated with a lot of sick dogs and recalls)
I have asked my distributor to find out; he is trying to check out sources but so far says that it is all rumor. I have been doing searches but everything I see on the Inter net is people talking about it, I haven't seen any real proof, all hearsay. I would be interested in hearing from someone who has actual proof. Maybe it is an internet rumor that is blossoming. Thanks for your input.

I can tell you from talking to my distributor, yes, the Canidae is being produced there, and they were totally up front and honest about it. They did NOT sell Canidae to Diamond, that's been something I heard and that is absolutely not true. The facility they produced Canidae at could not keep up with the demand (and that's true, we were having can shortages and bag shorages here at my shop - we were often out of several SKU's because of it. So many people switched to Canidae after the recall, it really was a shock even to the company - fast, fast growth in a year's time.)

They are changing the formula as well but at this time there will not be a change in their canned diet. Evangers just couldn't keep up with production either. Seriously, if you have any questions, call Canidae directly, they're more than happy to help and will be up front with you about it. I will say they've been up front with me throughout, and sent notices out a month ago to explain the changes. They have their own quality control people in place and their own inspectors as well.
