We have a 10 week old Corgi and noticed that it seems to have a very pronounced rib cage. You don't notice it by looking at it but when you hold it feels like it splays out quite a bit. I'm sure it''s not breed standard, they say rounding is not desired. Just wonding if this is typical in general or is there something strange there! Otherwise she seems fine and acts like a puppy.

Thanks!

Bob, it would be much easier if you had a picture to show what you meant.

All pups, corgis included will have a rounded appearance around their midsections and as they grow they will thin out some. but there are anatomical differences. Picture please???

I posted this in error on your page as well. Sorry for the duplicate.
I remember the first few weeks we had Owen i would think things were moving in there (around his ribs). He wasn't yelping in pain and sometimes i wondered if he was just growing before me eyes. Enjoy your time with your puppy.. Owen is almost 4 months and he really is becoming a boy.. :( I look at the pictures already and wonder where that puppy face went!
