I have a Weim and two rats. When I lived with my mom we had two cats, three dogs and two rats and a couple of bettas once upon a time.

We have :

Bubble - a russian dwarf hamster who still lives in Toronto Canada. (no, we cannot bring him down on the plane with us :(

and we used to have 6 African pygmy hedgehogs who passed away :(

Yup, Hedgies are illegal in some states, when we moved from TN to FL, we had to "hide" them just in case we were stopped by the police.
