Before we got our corgis, we were told by someone that corgis are "mouthy" and "always need to have the last word". When we adopted Bruce, the corgi mix, I noticed he would "talk" to us, using softly woofed / grunted words. I will chitchat back and he responds.

Then we got the pembroke puppy. When we get home, he gets so happy he does this adorable little singsong thing, sounding almost like a baby wookie.

Are there cute sounds that your corgis make?

omg, Twinky sounds like a little monkey sometimes when she is playing with her toys. She is VERY vocal, and tells me when she is happy and when she is displeased. it's almost as if she is talking back! She started this when I got her at 9 wks old. I hope she always does it, it's very endearing!
Oh, our little girl is a total Grumbleina. She certainly stands up for herself and has a running commentary. She's still so tiny that she sounds less like she's barking and more like a growl that turns into a quack. Less dog, more duck.

She's a hoot.
