Our boy corgi (Will be 7 in April) was either bitten or stung by something a few days ago, and the tip of his ear swelled. By the morning, the swelling had gone down however he keeps vomiting and pooping in the house. He does not have diarrhea and most of his vomit is just bile. I also have a sneaking suspicion that he may be allergic to our cleaner (We were using the Clorox Greenworks spray for multi-surfaces) since he likes to lick the floors.

Has anyone else experienced symptoms like this?  He was stung about 2-3 months ago and his WHOLE right ear swelled. I took him to the vet where he was given an antihistamine and an anti-nausea medicine since the antihistamine had the side affects of nausea.

He also keeps eating grass when we go for our walks, but there isn't any in his vomit, or in his poop.

Thanks!!

Hi Libby and Dyddy,

Is he able to keep food and water down? watch his hydration level, check his temperature, since the swelling is very specific, it could have been a flea or a spider bite.

Grass eating can be a range of things, everything from boredom, stomach upset to intentional induce vomiting ...etc.

Call your vet and see if he can advise you over the phone. Good luck and feel better soon!

Hey Sam!

He was keeping food and water down.

He is at the vet today. They did an x-ray and it shows his intestines are full of gas. :( So he has been stinking up their office.  He also has a high white blood cell count and a high liver enzyme level (vet thinks from his gall bladder) so he is under supervision at the vet with the medications administered and an IV. :(  Vet said hopefully the higher level is due to the viral infection causing the gas.

We will find out today.
