I was at the dog park, throwing the tennis ball with Atlas and Scout. Atlas likes to push the other dog's around a bit when they try and take his ball, nothing outright aggressive, but some loud barking, and if they do take it he will usually chase after them and give a sample of his herding instinct.
Anyway there was a blue-pitbull that was running with our dogs as we were playing fetch, she was a pretty happy little girl with that full body tail wag thing. Anyway one of the times Scout was running back and Atlas was being a bit bossy with the pit, running alongside her, and barking. So she turns to him and just flattens him out, no growling, no baring of teeth, no noise at all. She just lays on top of him, and he collapses on his back and just lays there, defeated. She then got up and went back to playing with other dogs.
The owner came up to us an apologized, and we said "no, no need to apologize Atlas needed that."
