Hi Jenny, Ramji is not potty trained, physically his bladder is not matured until 9 months, you're looking at 1yr - 2 yrs for 100% reliable accident free "potty trained". Read and re-read the FAQ on potty training.
Most likely Ramji drank some salty water at the beach, hence the diarrhea, make sure he replenish at home, go back to a structured schedule and he should be fine.
He probably just drank a ton of salt water and then probably even more water when he got home. When they are young and tired sometimes they will be deeply sleeping and not even realize they have to potty until its too late. I'm guessing both the extra pee and the diarrhea are from playing hard at the beach and drinking sea water. If this is the case he should be better tomorrow (although the diarrhea may take 1-2 days to clear up).
Mine (7 months old) did that too a few weeks ago. She was totally fine for weeks, but till one day I put her in the bath tub so she could play with the water or 'catch the water with her mouth...". After a while, she couldn't help it and peed inside (I could tell from her facial expression that she didn't want to, but HAVE to...). And it happened again when I put her in the bath tub for showering. Other than that she is fine --- I was worried as you did, but later I think she just drank too much water.
Meanwhile, we are working on her to ring the potty bell.
So just make sure you give him a bit more chances to go potty after playing with water. He is a good boy.
