My corgi has started growling and biting my sista. and being more aggressive. We got a new puppy on val day.
I dont know wat to do to stop it i started taking her on walks and that kinda slowed the biting down a bit.
A couple of questions: How old is your corgi? Rescue? Adoption? From a breeder? What breed is the new pup? These may all play a part in determining WHY your pup is biting. Sometimes they'll do it just for attention when you introduce a new dog.
In our house we have a "no bite" command and rule. First, I never play with their face. It's an invitation to bite. Second, the minute, immediately, a pup bites, play stops and they are put on the floor. If they're already on the floor I turn my back and walk away. This tells your pup that their behavior is unacceptable. Key here is you must be consistent every time.
She just turned 2 today she was adopted from a store but she was the cutie of the dogs so she was always spoiled rotten we almost got one from a breeder but she I fell in love with her once i saw her... The bitting has stopped since she is 2 now... I also found that she is very stubborn so when she bites i lay her on her back and stand up and scold her in a deep voice and after a while u let go and hopefully they show sub.
Thanks
