When you bring home Molly, have Savannah and Molly meet on neutral ground away from the house, like at a park. I would also take them for a walk together before bringing Savannah home. When you get home, explore the outside of the house with both dogs on leash, front yard and backyard, even if it is fenced in.
The other thing we did when we rescued Tucker and brought him home, was to gate off an area where Tucker could relax and just get used to being in the house and let Lance get used to the idea that there was another dog in the house. We let them play supervised, but then also gave them space to relax in on their own. We made sure to spend extra time with Lance so that he didnt feel like the other dog was taking over. We still found time to cuddle without Tucker while Tucker was gated in the kitchen. Lance still got fed first, etc.
Yes, I also believe in kennels, its good for dogs to have a space to go to feel safe. Yeah I bet if Savannah was kept in kennels for extremely long times she would not like them now. We also had separate play times for both dogs with us as well. We would have one dog gated in the kitchen while we were with the other dog in the basement, playing, training as well.
