We just adopted Banjo two weeks ago, and were told by his foster people that he was around 4 months old (sorta confirmed by vet-he still has some puppy teeth). However, he weighs 26 lbs! He could be mixed with something (he is a little tall for a corgi), but has all the corgi features. Long story short, he was found abandoned with his littermates almost 2 months ago.........
The vet said he shouldn't get much bigger, but I'm thinking this is a tad bit heavy for a pup............?

I was always lead to believe that puppies grow until they are at least 18 months old and then they tend to lay down some weight, so they get stockier, he looks mighty big to be a Cardigan, unless the genes of the "mix" are that of a big dog.
I would definitely say he is a mix. His appearance does not look all Cardigan and yes, his legs are on the long side. As far as the weight goes, at 4 months Finn wighed 18-20lbs I think. At 6 months he was 27 lbs. Your pup does sound a bit heavier than he would be if he were all Cardi. Hope this helps. :)
