As I have a puppy, I'm curious at what age can I expect the changes in her coat to stop and begin the hint her adult coloring? Freya is only 2 months and so far it has changed a lot.

She started to be evenly blended with red and black. Well, more like tan than dark red. The her head became orange, then her butt and random places on her back darkened. Currently, her butt and parts of her back are the same and the mid portion of her body has lightened and it looks like she has more white coming through around her armpit area and up.

Her undercoat has remained gray in the darker parts of her.

Thanks for your help.

Is she going to be a red? She's got one black nail and the tip of the pad is black with it. There's more black on her shoulders now--a dusting of it. She's getting a dusting of white on her forehead near her star too. Her undercoat is still gray.

What color will she be?
What about tris? My puppy has the cutest markings on his face, but most of the under fur is red, despite him looking black right now.
I was wondering the same thing...lol. Chesney is a sable who is mostly red now but she still has bits of black. But I did notice that her adult fur was coming in because it's more coarse. And it's so true it starts on the spine...lol. She has like a little mohawk of coarse hair down her spine...lol. Chesney is 3 1/2 mons so I'm guessing you should start noticing it in Freya very soon.
Thanks for the replies! I actually learned a lot from them. Freya's adult coat has been coming in recently. I thought she was going to lose her white mark but thankfully, it seems as though she won't as it came back. I noticed that some more black is coming in at the spine area (where almost all of it has left) so I guess her coat is still changing.

I went to an obedience class (I didn't like them so I didn't stay) and they called her a Cream? Is there such a thing as a cream? I thought she was fairly red.
I've never heard of a "cream" corgi. Only fawn, sable, red, tri.

I'm fairly certain my girl (she's 5 months) is going to be red like her parents, but I don't know what's "dark red" or "medium red"

I've taken weekly pictures of her since we got her so you can see how she has changed.
